Girls’ Getaway

This year  Girls’ Getaway is shifted to a later date to make way for the Kick Off Camp. Girls’ Getaway is where all the girls head off for a weekend of studying the Bible together. There they get a chance to look at parts of the Bible that are particularly important for women.  The camp is held at Talbingo, by the lake, with crazy activites and lots of fun; where you can let your hair down and fling some flour.

Bloke’s Bush and Bible Bash

The boys also take off for the infamous Blokes Bush and Bible Bash (or BB&BB) later in the year. This is the guys’ turn to hang out together, sleep in a wool shed and do stupid guy stuff for a weekend. Last year it was titled “Under construction”, and there were many challenges, both physical and spiritual. The weekend involves a series of talks, discussion times, a gigantic slide, gully wars and other various opportunities for the guys to injure themselves and have fun.

Mid-Year Conference

Our biggest annual CSU camp in the middle of the year, held at Warrumbui, a camp site just outside Canberra. Members of the Christian groups from the CSU campuses of Albury, Orange and Bathurst join us in a week of Bible talks, Bible studies, personal reflection, fellowship and fun. It’s on during the mid year break, and it is well worth the using one of those three weeks of holidays to learn more about God and how to apply that knowledge to your life.

National Training Event

At the end of the year, a week after exams, will be NTE. This is a huge conference with over 1200 students from Australia, all meeting in Canberra to hear talks, write talks, attend workshops and hear about missionaries from around the world. Then they head off in mission teams and spread the gospel to towns and cities all around Australia.
